A Wonderful Journey
By David Williams
The Artist's Love starts out really well. It's easier for me to get into this time around since the story picks up right where The Artist's Touch leaves off. Seeing as how they are two parts of the same story, it makes sense. Every little detail seems to be explained and i think it is one of the reasons I love Stefanie Pratt's books and why i hate them so much as well. (just kidding, I can't hate something so well written and descriptive.) It adds to the length of the story as well as the depth, and i can't help but think that the way the story creeps along at the same pace is why i have had such a hard time getting into the story at the beginning. That isn't to say it's a bad thing, in fact i think it's a good thing. The way everything is methodically played out is very interesting and I can even see the challenge in setting up a timeline for the book and everything that happens and that makes me love the story even more and respect Stefanie Pratt's dedication that much more.
I just got to a point in the book that made me want to cry because of the connections and feeling of the characters, I have to say, Stefanie Pratt knows how to put every ounce of emotion into her writting and i love it even though i'm wanting to cry.
I've read further into the book now and i'm about three quarters of the way through. I have to say, when twists and turns show up in this book they are like a ton of bricks being dropped on your head, making you wonder how things will turn out and hoping for the best. The tension in this book is so thick and suspensful that it makes you want to keep reading on and on and i have to say to Stefanie Pratt that i'm loving every second and can't wait to see how things turn out.
And again i want to throttle Stefanie Pratt, tears are threatening to spill from my eyes during another scene in the book, you can feel all the emotions and it's a great scene but heartwrenching. I have to give her so much respect for just this one scene, as someone who has written a story but never published anything i know how hard it is to pull at heart strings and anyone who can do that with a few paragraphs has my full respect and admiration. In this scene it's done masterfully.
I'm almost at the end of the book now and i have to say the journey has been amazing through these two books, I'm smiling and wanting to cry again, yes i know this book has made me want to cry alot, probably more than most books i've read except a few others, Acheron, Styxx...anyways, the scene i just read is beautiful and i feel that it's the beginning of the ending of this book and it's perfect so far. The journey has been long but as i'm reading i can see an ending happening or what i think is coming anyways, but again, as many twists have been in this book i can't be sure.
I have to say, the ending sentence of this book summerizes The Artists Touch and The Artists Love quite clearly and I don't think it could be any more perfect than the way Stefanie Pratt has ended it. Such a long journey that started out so simply. I've enjoyed the journey and i hope that everyone who goes and gets her books enjoys the journey as well. You wont regret it and I'm sure you'll give Stefanie Pratt acknowledgement for her stunning work. It's such a great story and a great journey. Thank you Stefanie Pratt.

She is much too much. He is overly guarded.

The Artist's Love picks up right where The Artist's Touch leaves off, dinner at Lemon Grass.
Rissa finally gets the chance to meet with Frederic Taylor. The things she learns from him not only open her eyes about the St. George's, but break her heart as well. She is able to give the man some good news, that makes his heart very happy, but now has more questions than answers.
What will Rissa and Spence do with this information? Do they confront their families with what they have learned?
Rissa's stalker continues in his pursuit, and we eventually find out who it is. Why is he after Rissa?
With so many twists and turns and a completely unexpected connection to all of it, I couldn't put this book down! The ending was as it should be, but I won't say any more than that.

The Artist’s Love by S.H. Pratt is the sequel that I have been waiting for. Since the abrupt ending of The Artist’s Touch, I’ve been in a book funk. In the action packed second half of the story we find out who the bad guys are and the reasons behind their evil acts.
S.H. Pratt delivers on bringing the action, drama, love, and the tension in this book. There were plenty of times I was scared to continue reading because of the way things were turning out for Rissa and Spence. I honestly felt like I was a bystander in their story watching everything play out.
The continuity was spot on, the dialogue was perfect, and there was the dynamic between Rissa and Spencer that nearly exploded my iPad. I really loved how all of the questions that I had from the first book were answered nice and neat. Thank you S.H. Pratt for writing an amazing story with believable characters.
I will definitely recommend this epic story to my friends and family. I give it 5/5 Platypires.
